Our experience and background in Commercial Fishing is the key to Casablanca Seafood’s success. South Florida’s best seafood comes in daily from our boats. Doesn’t get any fresher than that!

The Local Invite

A "local" invited my husband and me to dinner here. We arrived and enjoyed free oysters for happy hour (really, FREE!). Our guest took us into the fresh seafood store for a little tour, which was around long before the restaurant. We returned to our table outdoors overlooking the river - quite a nice setting. Since our guest knew the place quite well, we had him order for all of us. We had a huge dogfish prepared for our table, along with various side dishes. I had never heard of dogfish, but it is a local favorite, and no wonder why. It was fresh, flaky, and delicious! This is one customer who will be returning!

Great Evening

I'd give Casablanca more stars if I had more than one visit besides the Grand Opening party. Most importantly for any establishment at The Grand and especially one on the 2nd floor, Casablanca validates parking for a flat $5 fee without a time limit. This is HUGE, valet at The Grand stars at $9 and goes up by time rapidly otherwise. Casablanca has excellent water views from its bay windows. Indoor seating is classy and contemporary - very business lunch appropriate. Outdoor seating is covered and faces the bay too. Their service was great, was pleasantly surprised by the quality and tastiness of their free oysters for happy hour and their draft beers tasted great showing that their lines and setup is clean and proper. One minor oddity is that they don't have crackers to offer with oysters, however a free batch of nacho chips with a side of smoked fish made a great side plate to the oyster feast. Oysters were served with cocktail sauce and limes, in plates of 4-5 shells already shucked - but watch out for chips. Still, for a free incentive to drink and one of the ultimate drinking foods at that, that is a deal as good as it is true! We tried the conch fritters and were pleasantly amazed! They had the best proportion of conch to fritter that I've had in a long while and on the taste front rivaled the good ones from Nassau's "Fish Fry" market. Possibly worth the trip! I also had a cheeseburger and fries which were very good. Surprisingly, I've encountered more than a couple of terrible hamburgers on menus where they just kind of include it in the "something for everyone" category of their menu. This burger was large, tasty, cooked right (I like medium) and had fresh sides - came with mustard on top only which is a little unusual. Highly recommended to give this place a happy hour visit!

Fantastic View

Fantastic service. Fantastic food. Great location. This is Casablanca's second location in Miami. Much prefer this location, as there is a beautiful view of the bay. The seafood is caught fresh daily and you can taste the difference. For appetizer, I had the oyster Rockefeller, which were on point and shrimp stuffed with crab meat for dinner. Excellent. My fiancee had the grouper steak, which was cooked perfectly and can only be described as huge. Highly recommend this restaurant. Perfect for a romantic night out. The decoration is tasteful, yet understated. The tables are far apart from one another affording an air of privacy.

First to Review

Casablanca On The Bay is located in the Doubletree, it rests over the water, where you gaze upon the lights of the venetian causeway. There is no better view, and it's a beautiful restaurant, clean lines, light blues, and your a wash in wine glasses, just the looks ooze class. You can read the complete review on yelp.com
